Aloha

I'm back from Hawaii-- and a bit tired. I don't want to mess up The Parents' computer with my hundreds of pictures, so I'll catch up with you in a couple of days.

It was a wonderful trip. And most wonderful to spend time with Mom & Dad all to myself.

We left with rainbows. We returned to snow.

These are a few of my favorite things....

Holy Cow!!! Am I Lucky or What???

So I'm at work Sunday night, and everyone's in a big panic about all the weather that's supposed to arrive in the greater DC area on Monday night going into Tuesday. The Nurse is supposed to fly to Chicago on Tuesday morning in prep for the trip to

So I'm in a dilemna-- Do I stay--or--Do I go???

I made the decision to try and switch my flight from Tues morning to Monday night.

Remember-- I'm coming off a night shift.

Hmm. I can sleep from 9 to noon-30, pack, and The Husband can take me to Dulles.

-OR- I can sleep, stay up as late as I want, pack, and try my luck on Tuesday.

Hmmmm.....

I think I'll play it safe. Worst case, I guarantee DC zero snow, just because I left early.

So-- 8:30 p.m. flight on Monday. 10 passengers on the plane. They couldn't cancel, because it continued from Midway to Las Vegas.

I woke up this morning to this.

Bear (go Bears!) in mind, this is Chicago, and they're used to this stuff.

I guess I'm lucky.

Gettin' So Excited...

For a lot of reasons.

1. Yes, that's snow you're seein' there. Finally. I was up at 4 this am, and looked out the front door, and what to my wondering eyes should appear.... It's about bleepin' time!!!!

2.

Yep, you're right again. That'd be me (with re-redded and just-cut hair== thank you Gail) at the FedEx. And That'd be the bleepin' article on it's bleepin' way to the bleepin' journal. I won't have to b**ch and moan about it any more. My friends and coworkers won't have to listen to me b**ch and moan about it any more. I have my life back. Sort of. Until the next revision.

3. After hitting the FedEx, I was able to spend a short bit of time at The Shop. Got to do a bit of knitting, a bit of catching up, and got to see some of the amazing new yarns that Holly and Aimee have procured for us, the Irregulars and for our at-the-shop friends we haven't met yet.

4. This is the REALLY big deal. I was supposed to be spending time this week (before the bleepin' article got so bleepin' out of hand) getting ready to go here with The Parents. We'll be living here

Our room's not too shabby:

I really need a break. And I'm so grateful that I'm getting this one. With my parents. All to myself. I am so blessed.

And I've got some packing to do.

Sorry, Can't Talk Now

Final angsty writing throes.

The 30th reference needs to become the 5th.
